Furry Friendz *
Furry Friendz is an immersive installation that transforms the gallery space into a playful, otherworldly environment where my monsters live. Blooming flowers and soft fur seating and flooring create a space that feels inviting, strange, and slightly magical. The work encourages viewers to take their shoes off and step inside rather than remain at a distance, using touch, movement, and proximity to fully experience the space. The monsters exist between the familiar and the imaginary, paying homage to childhood companions, both real and imagined. This installation invites people of all ages to engage, play, and explore freely. By activating multiple senses, the space becomes alive and interactive, offering a temporary glimpse into the monsters’ world.
Creative Process

The creative process behind Fuzzy Friendz began with sketching out the characters and envisioning the overall atmosphere of the installation space. From these initial drawings, each character was brought to life through a hands-on sculpting process, using foam to shape and carve their forms before covering them in soft fur and embellishments, leaving each monster sculpture standing at three feet. The environment itself was built to complement these figures, with custom furniture and seating arrangements constructed using wood to create an immersive and cohesive display. Together, these elements form a playful, textured world that invites viewers to engage both visually and physically with the installation.
